Peel Energy's planning application is for turbines 30% larger in power output than "candidate turbine" used in noise calculations!
The turbine used in all the noise calculations is a 2.3mw (Siemens STW-2.3-93)
0.7mw lower than the 3mw in the planning application.!

An assessment has been made using manufacturers warranted data
for the proposed
Siemens STW-2.3-93 wind turbine as a candidate wind turbine for the
purposes of the
assessment. From this assessment predictions of noise levels that
would impact on
the nearest residential properties and surrounding area have been
identified.
The predicted noise levels as a result of the operation of the
proposed wind cluster
fall within the ETSU-R-97 noise limits at all of the nearest noise
sensitive receptors.
Comment - the predicted noise levels do not actually fall within ETSU-R-97 at all of the nearest noise sensitive receptors (i.e. homes), even using a much smaller turbine for the calculations.
